National Institute of Chemistry presents its H₂GreenTECH demonstration model

NIC’s H₂GreenTECH demonstration model is an electrolyser setup consisting of a PEM electrolysis cell for acid-proof operation, membrane pumps for the electrolyte, and a potentiostat/galvansotate for measurements. The cell is powered by an external DC power supply.

The main concept of the demo model is education and demonstration to introduce hydrogen technologies to the public using a simple model. The model is used to present the techniques of hydrogen production by electrolysis of water or even acid electrolytes. It also presents the scientific aspect of hydrogen technologies. The prototype part of the model offers the possibility to test different PEM membranes or to analyse cell operation and energy efficiency using different electrolytes to study and compare their properties.
