EUROPEAN RESEARCHER`S NIGHT 2021

Lecture on hydrogen technologies at the event ‘Noč ima svojo moč 2021’ and video presentation ‘Hydrogen technologies – a green future’.

The traditional European Researchers’ Night is a day a year when science and research institutions across Europe open their doors to introduce the public to the profession and life of a scientist.

On 24 September 2021, as part of the all-Slovenian project ‘Noč ima svojo moč 2021’, a lecture on hydrogen technologies was held at the Slovenian National Institute of Chemistry. The lecture ‘Towards sustainable technologies by using hydrogen and carbon dioxide’ was prepared by Anže Prašnikar, a PhD student from the Department of Catalysis and Chemical Reaction Engineering, where the H₂GreenTECH project is implemented.

The activities within the project ‘Noč ima svojo moč’ take place under the honorary patronage of the President of the Republic of Slovenia Borut Pahor. The project is based on a strong partnership between various institutions, organizations and individuals. The project consortium is led by the House of Experiments and includes the J. Stefan Institute, the National Institute of Chemistry, the National Institute of Biology, the Geological Survey of Slovenia and the Technical Museum of Slovenia, as well as more than 50 other project partners and supporters.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Štajerska, a partner of the H₂GreenTECH project, also participated in the European Researchers’ Night 2021, a pan-European public event designed to showcase the diversity of science and its impact on the daily lives of citizens, including young people, in an entertaining and inspiring way. In cooperation with the Center of Experiments / EKTC Maribor so.p., a video on the practical experiment ‘Hydrogen Technologies – Green Future’ was presented for the target audience of young people and other interested people who want to learn more about hydrogen technologies. These green technologies represent an important answer to energy challenges of the future.
